Anyone writing about restaurants for this paper would be remiss if they failed to recognize the fact that UC Irvine is situated within poking distance of gastronomical greatness.

This is my sex appeal," a throaty voice sings while images of a model in a snug tan sweater and a tiny skirt fastened from top to bottom with silver buttons flash across my laptop's screen. It's clear within the first few minutes of this video that this isn't promoting your usual clothing brand. This is BCBGeneration, a brand-new line that's the hipper, younger sister to Max Azria's well-known BCBGMAXAZRIA label. BCBG, an acronym for the French slang saying, "bon chic, bon genre," ("good style, good attitude" in English), was founded in 1989 by Max Azria and is currently based in Vernon, CA.
In the words of one of this country's founding fathers, Benjamin Franklin, "You may delay, but time will not." This truism indicates that while life continues to move forward, with humanity making significant progress in various fields with each passing day, one issue perpetually looms over our heads. Halting advancement and stifling productivity is none other than procrastination.
There's something that's been bugging me for the past few weeks. Ever since the release of "Watchmen," I've seen a lot of people and critics continuously belittling the film. I come before you now to say: really? You're saying that "Watchmen" was disappointing? Now, let's be clear. Yes, the graphic novel was better. Of course it was. The book is always better.
I'm sure that during their time at UC Irvine, most students have made it to the beach, and after all, living so close to the coast is one of the largest perks of going to UCI. Catalina Island is right off the coast, and is an excellent day trip or weekend vacation that not nearly enough students know about.
