On Sept. 30, Walt Disney Animation Studios released their fourth trailer for the upcoming movie “Frozen 2,” the studio’s sixth feature film and third sequel of 2019, which is set to be released on Friday, Nov. 22.

"Tall Girl" has every teenage movie trope that one could think of. While Netflix movies tend to be a hit or miss—this one was right in between.

Indie folk band, The Lumineers, add to their list of successful albums with the Sept. 13 release of “III” which is accompanied by a short film. Both illustrate the way addiction affects the family dynamic and how it’s carried on in a cycle of transgenerational trauma.

The New Netflix series, “The Politician,” was released on Sept. 27. The show follows ultra ambitious Payton Hobart, played by Broadway star Ben Platt, in his attempt to win his prestigious Santa Barbara High School’s student body presidential election.

On Sept.13, “Hustlers” premiered nationwide after thrilling reviews and much anticipation. Featuring Jennifer Lopez, Constance Wu, Lili Reinhart and Keke Palmer, the real-life story of strippers going after big-time business guys proved to be an intense drama.

Last Tuesday, ASUCI hosted this year’s Aldrich Park After Dark concert, which featured performances from Cheat Codes, YBN Cordae, Marc E. Bassy and Shaboozey.

As September rolls around each year, Halloween decorations are hung, stores are packed with costumes, and scary mazes are opened for business. A popular choice for horror fans is Halloween Horror Nights.

All year long, the Claire Trevor School of the Arts Drama Department has produced outstanding performances in adherence with their theme, “Against All Odds.” The 2018-2019 season will come to an end with the production of “The Pajama Game,” a story about a pajama factory suffering under a strike from workers who are waiting on the salary they deserve.

Let’s hope that G.R.R.M. finishes “The Winds of Winter” and “A Dream of Spring” soon so we can see the story and ending that was meant to be.
